Act of Oblation in Thanksgiving for Blessings Received

Act of Oblation in Thanksgiving for Blessings Received

ETERNAL FATHER! we offer Thee the most Precious Blood of JESUS, shed for us with such great love and bitter pain from his Right Hand; and through the merits and the efficacy of that Blood, we entreat Thy Divine Majesty to grant us thy holy benediction, in order that we may be defended thereby from all our enemies, and be set free from every ill; whilst we say, May the blessing of Almighty GOD, FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT descend upon us and remain with us for ever. Amen. PATER, Ave and Gloria

Prayer to the Precious Blood

Prayer to the Precious Blood

MOST Precious Blood of life eternal! price and ransom of the world ! drink and bath of the soul ! ever pleading the cause of man before the throne of Mercy; I adore Thee most profoundly; I would, if I were able, make Thee some compensation for the outrages and wrongs Thou dost ever suffer from men, and especially from those who dare in their rashness to blaspheme Thee. Who will not bless this Blood of value infinite? who does not feel himself on fire with the love of JESUS, who shed it all for us? What should I be but for this Blood, which hath redeemed me? And what drew Thee, Thou Precious Blood, from the veins of my LORD, even to the last drop? It was love. O boundless love, which gave to us this saving balsam! O balsam beyond all price, streaming forth from the fount of immeasurable love! Give to all hearts, all tongues, power to praise, celebrate, and thank Thee, now and ever, and throughout all eternity. Amen

V/. Thou hast redeemed us, O LORD, with thy Blood,
R/. And hast made us a kingdom to our GOD

ALMIGHTY and everlasting GOD, who hast appointed thine only-begotten SON the SAVIOUR of the world, and hast willed to be appeased by his Blood; grant us, we beseech Thee, so to venerate this Blood, the price of our salvation, and so to be defended on earth by its power from the evils of this present life, that in heaven we may be made glad by its everlasting fruit. Who liveth and reigneth, etc. Amen.

Memorare to Our Lady of the Precious Blood

Memorare to Our Lady of the Precious Blood

REMEMBER, O Lady of the Precious Blood, the sorrowful Sheddings of the Blood of thy Jesus and the most bitter tears thou didst mingle with His Redeeming Blood. In the name of the Blood of the Victim of Reparation and of thy holy tears; in the name of the seven swords which pierced thy heart, by which thou didst become the Mediatrix of all graces for the human race and the Queen of Martyrs, have pity on my soul and on all its miseries; have pity on sinners and on the innocent souls they seek to pervert; have pity on the poor, the sick, the infirm, on all their sufferings, both physical and moral; have pity on the agonizing, especially upon those who, except for thine intercession, would leave this world without being purified in the Blood of the Lamb.

It is by the Blood of thy Dying Son, by His inexpressible Sufferings, by His last plea to His Father in favor of mankind, by His ignominious Death and by the perpetuation of His Sacrifice on Catholic Altars, that I beg thee not to reject my supplications, but graciously to hear them. Amen.

Blood of Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to Thee with humble trust saying
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations, Blood of Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes; in disappointments, troubles and sorrows,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good come from my efforts,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Thy grace alone can assist me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Thy tender love as my Father and Savior,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and I am lonely,
Blood of Jesus, help me!
Always, always in spite of weakness, falls and shortcomings, of every kind,
Blood of Jesus, help me and never forsake me.

Prayer to Jesus Suffering

Prayer to Jesus Suffering

(Our Lord said to St. Mechtilde: "Behold, I make over to thee all the bitterness of My Passion, that thou mayest offer it to Me again as though it were thine own possession. And whoever shall do this, shall receive double at my hand, and whenever he renews this offering he shall surely receive the double; and this is that hundredfold which a man receives in this life, and in the world to come, life everlasting.")

O most gracious Jesus, Redeemer and Saviour of the whole human race, I recall to Thy mind with gratitude and love all the sorrow and anxiety which Thou, my Creator and my God, didst feel in Thine agony, when Thou didst pray yet longer, and didst bedew the earth with the sweat of Blood, wrung from Thee by Thine exceeding anguish, desire and love, beseeching Thee by all and each of those most sacred drops, all which I here offer Thee with devout affection, that Thou wouldst wash away all the stains of my sins. I recall to Thy mind Thy being unjustly bound with heavy chains, Thy innumerable stripes and blows, and all the contumely and the blasphemy wherewith Thou wast assailed, when all proclaimed Thee a deceiver of the people; when Thou wast falsely accused before Pilate, ignominiously mocked by Herod, and set aside for an impious robber; and when all the whole multitude clamorously demanded that Thou shouldst be crucified. All this Thou didst endure with such love and such patience that although Thou couldst by one look have appalled Thine adversaries, and with one word convicted the false witnesses against Thee, yet Thou didst submit to be led like a sheep to the slaughter, and stand before Thy judge with Thy head bowed in humility, Thine eyes fixed on the ground, not once opening Thy mouth to speak one word of complaint at the lying accusations brought against Thee. Wherefore I give Thee thanks on behalf of all mankind, and offer Thee all the outrages and insults heaped on Thee, in satisfaction for all the insults I have offered Thee by my sins. I give Thee thanks also and I recall to Thy mind Thy most cruel and excessive scourging, wherewith Thy whole body was so gashed and torn, that from the sole of Thy foot to the top of Thy head there was no soundness in Thee. I set forth now before Thee, likewise, that intolerable anguish Thou didst feel when the crown of thorns was so harshly forced upon Thy kingly head, when the sharp thorns pierced Thy head and Thy brow, and were thrust into Thy brain, and Thy most gentle loving face, into which the Angels desire to look, was covered with slow trickling drops of Thy roseate Blood. O most pitiful Jesus, I now recall to Thy mind, the unutterable anguish which thrilled through Thy whole Body, when Thou wast fastened to the Cross with iron nails, when Thou wast lifted up on high on Thy cross, and blasphemed by the Jews, mocked in Thy thirst with vinegar and gall, and hung up between two robbers, as the refuse and off-scouring of all creatures. Lastly, O most gracious Jesus, I recall to Thy mind with gratitude and compassion all and each of the sorrows Thou didst feel throughout Thy whole most sacred Body and especially in Thy sweetest Heart, by reason of Thy foreknowledge that Thy most bitter, most shameful, most guiltless Passion would be of no avail to so many; and when Thy deified Heart itself broke with excessive love and grief, and Thy most holy soul quitted Thy blessed Body with an inconceivable pang! For all these, Thy sorrows, I give Thee infinite thanks; and through Thy sweetest Heart, in the power of the Holy Spirit, in behalf of, and with the love of all creatures, I offer Thee all Thy grief, and pain, and torment of Body and soul, throughout all the time of Thy Passion, for all the sins I have committed, for all the good I have left undone or done negligently, and to turn away all the punishment I have so justly deserved. Do Thou now vouchsafe to ratify and accept this my oblation and to absolve me from all my sins. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the adorable wounded Face of Jesus, through the intercession of Little Theresa, to obtain my request.

Consecration to the Precious Blood

Consecration to the Precious Blood

O Jesus, fairest of the children of men, Thou Whom I see crushed beneath the weight of my sins, covered with wounds, Thy hands and feet pierced with nails, Thy side opened with a lance, I adore Thee and recognize Thee as my Lord and my God and as my beloved Redeemer. Pierced with grief at sight of the Blood flowing from Thy wounds for the redemption of souls, I feel irresistibly urged to consecrate myself to the worship of this regenerating Blood and, by an exemplary life, to atone for all the profanations of this Divine Blood and for those which It still receives daily in the veins of Thy Sacred Body present mystically on the altar. By this consecration --- which I beg Thee to accept, O my Savior, I desire to spend my whole life in proving to Thee my gratitude and my love by paying frequent homage to Thy Precious Blood and by propagating this devotion as far as is in my power. I desire every pulsation of my heart to be a renewal of this consecration, a constantly repeated act of love for this redeeming Blood, a perpetual offering of Its merits in behalf of sinners and all the souls dear to me, and a hymn of unceasing praise in union with that of the Saints and all the blessed in Heaven: "To the Lamb Who redeemed us in His Blood, be honor and glory and benediction forever."

O Mary, mother of the Divine Redeemer, obtain for me the grace of adoring fervently throughout my life the Blood of thy Divine Son and of singing forever Its mercies in Heaven. Amen.

Prayers Honoring the Seven Times Jesus Spilled His Precious Blood

Prayers Honoring the Seven Times
Jesus Spilled His Precious Blood

The 12 Year Prayers:
O Jesus, now I wish to pray the Lord's Prayer seven times in unity with the love with which You sanctified this prayer in Your Heart. Take it from my lips into Your Divine Heart. Improve and complete it so much that it brings as much honor and joy to the Trinity as You granted it on earth with this prayer. May these pour upon Your Holy Humanity in Glorification to Your Painful Wounds and the Precious Blood that You spilled from them.

First Prayer: The Circumcision Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You the first wounds, the first pains, and the first Bloodshed as atonement for my and all of humanity's sins of youth, as protection against the first mortal sin, especially among my relatives.

Second Prayer: The Suffering on the Mount of Olives Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You the terrifying suffering of Jesus' Heart on the Mount of Olives and every drop of His Bloody Sweat as atonement for my and all of humanity's sins of the heart, as protection against such sins and for the spreading of Divine and brotherly Love.

Third Prayer: The Flogging Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You the many thousands of Wounds, the gruesome Pains, and the Precious Blood of the Flogging as atonement for my and all of humanity's sins of the Flesh, as protection against such sins and the preservation of innocence, especially among my relatives.

Fourth Prayer: The Crowning of Thorns Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You the Wounds, the Pains, and the Precious Blood of Jesus' Holy Head from the Crowning with Thorns as atonement for my and all of humanity's sins of the Spirit, as protection against such sins and the spreading of Christ's kingdom here on earth.

Fifth Prayer: The Carrying of the Cross Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You the Sufferings on the way of the Cross, especially His Holy Wound on His Shoulder and its Precious Blood as atonement for my and all of humanity's rebellion against the Cross, every grumbling against Your Holy Arrangements and all other sins of the tongue, as protection against such sins and for true love of the Cross.

Sixth Prayer: The Crucifixion Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, through Mary's unblemished hands and the Divine Heart of Jesus, I offer You Your Son on the Cross, His Nailing and Raising, His Wounds on the Hands and Feet and the three streams of His Precious Blood that poured forth from these for us, His extreme tortures of the Body and Soul, His precious Death and its non-bleeding Renewal in all Holy Masses on earth as atonement for all wounds against vows and regulations within the Orders, as reparation for my and all of the world's sins, for the sick and the dying, for all holy priests and laymen, for the Holy Father's intentions toward the restoration of Christian families, for the strengthening of Faith, for our country and unity among all nations in Christ and His Church, as well as for the Diaspora.

Seventh Prayer: The Piercing of Jesus' Side Pray 1 Our Father, 1 Hail Mary:
Eternal Father, accept as worthy, for the needs of the Holy Church and as atonement for the sins of all Mankind, the Precious Blood and Water which poured forth from the Wound of Jesus' Divine Heart. Be gracious and merciful toward us. Blood of Christ, the last precious content of His Holy Heart, wash me of all my and others' guilt of sin! Water from the Side of Christ, wash me clean of all punishments for sin and extinguish the flames of Purgatory for me and for all the Poor Souls. Amen.

Our Lord made these promises to anyone who recited/prayed these Prayers for 12 entire years**

1. The soul who prays them will suffer no Purgatory.
2. The soul who prays them will be accepted among the Martyrs as though he had spilled his blood for his faith.
3. The soul who prays them can choose three others whom Jesus will then keep in a state of grace sufficient to become holy.
4. No one in the four successive generations of the soul who prays them will be lost.
5. The soul who prays them will be made conscious of his death one month in advance.

** If the soul praying these prayers dies before the entire 12 years of prayers have been completed, the Lord will accept them as having been prayed in their entirety, because the intention of the soul was to complete them as directed.

If a day or a few days are missed due to a valid reason, they can be made up for later, at the soul's earliest opportunity.

Act of Consecration to the Most Precious Blood

Act of Consecration to the Most Precious Blood

Blood of Jesus, inebriate me! O Jesus, my Beloved Savior, ever present in the Tabernacle, to be the strength, the joy and the food of souls, I come to consecrate myself to Thy Precious Blood, and to pledge Thee my sincere love and fidelity. Pierced with sorrow at the remembrance of Thy sufferings, the contemplation of the Cross, and the thought of the outrages and contempt lavished by ungrateful souls upon Thy dear Blood, I long, O my Jesus, to bring joy to Thy Heart, and to make Thee forget my sins, and those of the whole world, by consecrating my body and soul to Thy service. I desire, my Jesus, to live henceforth, only by Thy Blood and for Thy Blood. I now choose It as my greatest treasure and the dearest object of my love.

O merciful Redeemer, deign to regard me as a perpetual adorer of Thy Most Precious Blood, and be pleased to accept my prayers, my deeds and my sacrifices, as so many acts of reparation and love.

Heavenly Wine, giver of purity and strength, pour down upon my soul. Make of my heart a living chalice from which grace shall constantly flow on those that love Thee, and especially on poor sinners that offend Thee. Teach me to honor Thee and to make Thee honored by others. Give me power to draw to Thee cold and hardened hearts, that they may feel how infinitely Thy consolations surpass those of the world.

O Blood of my Crucified Savior, detach me from the world, and the spirit of the world. Make me love suffering and sacrifice, after the example of St. Catherine of Sienna, who loved Thee so much [and whom I choose again today as my special patroness].

O Precious Blood, be my strength amid the trials and struggles of exile. Grant that at the hour of death I may be able to bless Thee for having been the comfort and the sanctification of my soul, before becoming, in Heaven, the everlasting object of my love and praise.

Saints of God, who owe thy happiness to the Blood of Jesus; Angelic spirits, who sing Its glory and power, august Virgin, who to It owest the privileges of thine Immaculate Conception and Divine Maternity, help me to pay to the Precious Blood of my Redeemer a perpetual homage of adoration, reparation and thanksgiving. Amen.

Through the same Christ, Our Lord. Amen.

The Precious Blood Chapet

The Precious Blood Chapet

This Chaplet consists of seven Mysteries, in which we meditate upon the seven times in which JESUS CHRIST shed his Blood for us; It is divided into 7 groups, containing 33 "Our Father's" in honor of the 33 years during which the Precious Blood flowed through the veins of Jesus Christ, before It was all poured out on the Cross for our salvation. After each group, a "Glory Be" is recited in thanksgiving to the Holy Trinity for this great gift of the Precious Blood. While reciting these prayers, meditate on the 7 bloodsheddings of Jesus:

V/. O GOD, come to my assistance.
R/. O LORD make haste to help me.
V/. Glory be to the FATHER, etc.
R/. As it was in the beginning, etc.

FIRST MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood in the Circumcision
THE first time our loving SAVIOUR shed his Precious Blood for us was on the eighth day after his birth, when he was circumcised in order to fulfill the law of Moses. While, then, we reflect that JESUS did this to satisfy the justice of GOD for our lax ways, let us rouse ourselves to sorrow for them, and promise, with the help of his all-powerful grace, to be henceforth truly chaste in body and in soul.

Let us ask for chastity of body and soul.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

SECOND MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood in the Agony while praying in the Garden of Olives
NEXT, in the Garden of Olives, JESUS shed his Blood for us in such quantity that it bathed the earth around. He did this at the sight of the ingratitude with which men would meet his love. Let us, then, repent sincerely that we have hitherto corresponded so ill with the countless blessings of GOD, and resolve to make good use of his graces and inspirations.

Let us ask for the spirit of prayer.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

THIRD MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood in the Scourging at the Pillar.
Next, in his cruel scourging, JESUS shed his Blood when his flesh was so torn that streams of Blood flowed from every part of his body, all of which he offered all the time to his Eternal FATHER in payment of our impatience and our softness. How comes it, then, that we do not curb our anger and love of self? Henceforth we will try our best to bear our troubles well, and, despising self, take peacefully the injuries which men may do us

Let us ask for patience and self-control.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

FOURTH MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood in the Crowning with Thorns.
Again, from the sacred Head of JESUS, Blood poured down when it was crowned with thorns, in punishment of our pride and evil thoughts. Shall we, then, continue to nurture haughtiness, foster foul imaginations, and feed the wayward will within us? Henceforth let there be ever before our eyes our utter nothingness, our misery, and our weakness; and with generous hearts let us resist all the temptations of the devil.

Let us ask for humility to atone for pride.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

FIFTH MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood while carrying His Cross to Calvary.
What streams of Precious Blood did not our loving LORD pour forth from his veins when laden with the heavy Cross on that most grievous journey to Calvary! The very streets and ways of Jerusalem, through which He passed, were watered with it! This He did in satisfaction for the scandals and bad example by which his own creatures had led others astray. Who can tell how many of us are of this unhappy number? Who knows how many he himself alone has, by his own bad example, brought down to hell? And what have we done to remedy this evil? Henceforth let us at least do all we can to save souls
by word and by example, making ourselves a pattern to all of goodness and a holy life.

Let us ask for acceptance of our daily crosses.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

SIXTH MYSTERY

Jesus shed His Blood in the Terrible Crucifixion.
MORE, and still more Precious Blood did the REDEEMER of mankind shed in his barbarous Crucifixion; when, his veins being rent and arteries burst, there rushed forth in a torrent, from his hands and his feet, that saving balm of life eternal, to pay for all the crimes and enormities of a lost world. Who, after this, would continue in sin, and so renew the cruel crucifixion of the SON of GOD? Let us weep bitterly for our bad deeds done, and detest them before the feet of the sacred minister of GOD ; let us amend our evil ways, and henceforth begin a truly Christian life, with the remembrance ever in our hearts of all the Blood which our salvation cost the SAVIOUR of men.

Let us ask for contrition.
Recite the "Our Father" 5 times, "Glory Be" once.
V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

SEVENTH MYSTERY

Jesus shed Blood and water from His Side pierced by a lance.
LAST of all, after his death, when his sacred Side was opened by the lance, and his loving Heart was wounded, JESUS shed Blood, and with it there came forth water, to show us how his Blood was all poured out to the last drop for our salvation. Oh, the great goodness of our redeeming LORD! Who will not love Thee, SAVIOUR of my soul? What heart will not consume itself away for love of Thee, who hast done all this for our redemption? The tongue wants words to praise Thee ; so let us invite all creatures upon earth, all angels and all saints in Paradise, and most of all our dear Mother Mary, to bless, praise, and celebrate thy most Precious Blood. Glory to the Blood of JESUS! Now and ever throughout all ages. Amen

Let us ask for perseverance.
Recite the "Our Father" 3 times, "Glory Be" once.

V/. We pray You, Lord, help your servants.
R/. Whom You have redeemed with Your Precious Blood.

The Divine Mercy Stations

The Divine Mercy Stations

Begin each Station with the following:

Eternal Father, I offer You the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your dearly beloved Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

Pause briefly, meditating on the Passion of Jesus. Then say the first invocation given below.

 1. For the sake of His institution of the Eucharist as the memorial of His Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

Precious Blood Prayer in Response to Requests from Our Lord

Precious Blood Prayer in Response to Requests from Our Lord

Dear Jesus, moved by an impulse of love, and with purity of intention, I wish to cover my humble labors with Your merits and bathe them in the supernatural gold of Your Precious Blood. I desire to consecrate my life to the saving of souls and the extension of Your glory, and I beg the Heavenly Father for as many souls as You shed drops of Blood during Your Passion. - Sr. Josefa Menendez

A True Letter of Our Savior Jesus Christ

A True Letter of Our Savior Jesus Christ

Consecrating the Drops of Blood which Our Lord Jesus lost on His way to Calvary

Copy of a letter of the Oration found in the Holy Sepulchre of Our Lord Jesus Christ in Jerusalem, perserved in a silver box by His Holiness and by the Emperors and Empresses of the Christian Faith.

Saint Elizabeth, Queen of Hungary, with Saint Matilda and Saint Bridget, wishing to know something of the Passion of Jesus Christ, offered fervent and special prayers, upon which there appeared to them Our Lord Jesus Christ, Who spoke to them in the following manner:

I descended from Heaven to the Earth in order to convert you.  In olden times people were religious and their harvests were abundant; at present, on the contrary, they are scanty.

If you want to reap an abundant harvest you must not work on Sunday, for on Sunday you must go to Church and pray to God to forgive your sins. He gave you six days in which to work and one for rest and devotion and to tender your help to the poor and assist the Church.

Those people, who brawl against My religion and cast slurs on this Sacred Letter, shall be forsaken by Me.

On the contrary, those people who shall carry a copy of this Letter with them shall be free from death by drowning and from sudden death. They shall be free from all contagious diseases and lightning; they shall not die without Confession, and shall be free from their enemies and from the hand of wrongful authority, and from all their slanderers and false witnesses.

Women in peril at child-birth will, by keeping this Oration about them, immediately overcome the difficulty. In the houses where this Oration is kept no evil thing will ever happen: and forty days before the death of a person who has this Oration about him or her, the Blessed Virgin will appear to him or her. So said Saint Gregorius.

To all those Faithful who shall recite for 3 years, each day, 2 Paters, Glorias and Aves, in honor of the drops of blood I lost, I will concede the following 5 graces:

1st. The plenary indulgence and remittance of your sins.
2nd. You will be free from the pains of Purgatory.
3rd. If you should die before completing the said 3 years, for you it will be the same as if you had completed them.
4th. It will be upon your death the same as if you had shed all your blood for the Holy Faith.
5th. I will descend from Heaven to take your soul and that of your relatives, until the fourth generation.

Be it known that the number of armed soldiers were 150; those who trailed Me while I was bound were 23. The executioners of justice were 83; the blows received on My head were 150; those on My stomach, 108; kicks on My shoulders, 80. I was led, bound with cords, by the hair, 24 times; spits in the face were 180; I was beaten on the body 6666 times; beaten on the head, 110 times. I was roughly pushed, and at 12 o'clock was lifted up by the hair; pricked with thorns and pulled by the beard, 23 times; received 20 wounds on the head; thorns of marine junks, 72; pricks of thorns in the head, 110; mortal thorns in the forehead, 3. I was afterwards flogged and dressed as a mock king; wounds in the body, 1000. The soldiers who led Me to Calvary were 608; those who watched Me were 3, and those who mocked Me were 1008; the drops of blood which I lost were 28,430.
