Saint Gertrude's Purgatory Prayer

Saint Gertrude's Purgatory Prayer

Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Most Precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal church, those in my own home and within my family. Amen.

Our Lord told St. Gertrude the Great, that the following prayer would release 1,000 souls from Purgatory each time it is said. The prayer was extended to include living sinners which would alleviate the indebtedness accrued to them during their lives.

    1. If you wish to apply this prayer in a special manner to someone you know and love who is still living, please know the Lord in a special manner listens to unselfish prayers for others such as yours. Simply make the intention to the Lord that you would like to apply this prayer to your loved one as well. Saint Padre Pio said that He could still pray for his great grandfather to have a good death, because for God there is no past and no future - everything is present..
