The Seven Deadly Sins and the Opposing Virtues

The seven deadly sins, also known as the capital vices or cardinal sins 

Anger: inordinate feelings of hatred and anger
Greed: a sin of excess
Lust: an intense desire
Gluttony: over-indulgence
Pride: excessive love of self
Sloth: laxity in keeping the faith 
Envy: discontent towards someone's traits, status, abilities, or rewards

The Seven Capital Virtues that Oppose the Seven Deadly Sins

Patience: steadfast despite opposition, difficulty, or adversity
Charity: benevolent goodwill toward or love of humanity
Chastity: purity in conduct and intention
Temperance: moderation in action, thought, or feeling
Humility: not proud or haughty : not arrogant or assertive
Diligence: persevering application
Kindness: the quality or state of being kind
