There are Six Things Which the LORD Hates,

Yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: Proverbs 6:16-19

(1) Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, (Pro 6:17)

(2) And hands that shed innocent blood, (Pro 6:17)

(3) A heart that devises wicked plans, (Pro 6:18)

(4) Feet that run rapidly to evil, (Pro 6:18)

(5) A false witness who utters lies (Pro 6:19)

(6) And one who spreads strife among brothers (Pro 6:19)

Haughty Eyes and a Lying Tongue

For You save an afflicted people, But haughty eyes You abase. - Ps 18:27

Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, But humility goes before honor. - Pr 18:12

Truthful lips will be established forever, But a lying tongue is only for a moment. - Pr 12:19

A lying tongue hates those it crushes, And a flattering mouth works ruin. - Pr 26:28

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. - Pr 18:21

Hands that Shed Innocent Blood

You shall not murder - Exodus 20:13, Deut 5:17

Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed...  - Gen 9:6

For in the image of God He made man. - Gen 9:6

Now you are cursed from the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood - Gen 4:11

A Heart that Devises Wicked Plans

Transgression speaks to the ungodly within his heart; There is no fear of God before his eyes. – Ps 36 1

I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves. - Mt 10:16

Watch over your heart with all diligence, For from it flow the springs of life. - Pr 4:23

Feet that Run Rapidly to Evil

You shall not follow the masses in doing evil - Exodus 23:2

There will be tribulation and distress for every soul of man who does evil, - Romans 2:9

 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. - Romans 12:21

A False Witness Who Utters Lies

You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. - Ex 20:16, Duet 5:20

A false witness will not go unpunished, And he who tells lies will not escape. - Pr 19:5

One Who Spreads Strife Among Brothers

Who with perversity in his heart continually devises evil, Who spreads strife. - Pr 6:14

Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions. - Pr 10:12
