The Early Church Fathers

Ante Nicene Fathers
The Ante-Nicene Fathers are the early Church fathers which contributed writings from the time Christianity began till the time of the Creation of the Nicene Creed.  These Church Fathers include: Saint Polycarp, Saint Clement of Rome, Saint Tertullian, Saint Julius Africanus, Saint Ignatius, Saint Justin Martyr, Saint Origen, Saint Clement of Alexandria, Saint Irenaeus and more.

Nicene and Post Nicene Fathers
The Nicene and Post Nicene Fathers are those Saints which contributed writings  around the time of the council of Nicaea and there afterwards.  Some of the Nicene and Post Nicene Fathers include: Saint Augustine, Saint John Chrysostom, Saint Gregory the Great, Saint Jerome, Saint Hilory of Poiters, Saint Leo the Great, Saint Cyril of Jerusalem, Saint Ambrose of Milan, Saint Gregory of Nyssa, Saint Basil, Saint Athanasius, Saint John of Damascus, The Seven Ecumenical Councils and more..

Some of the Early Writings around these times are: Confessions of St. Augustine, City of God, Letters, Select Works, Homilies on John, Homilies on Hebrews and more.
